Goodnight friends! A dramatic change, slivers of golden light sliding in through the curtains. Cooled down a little more to about 2°c, sugary carpet of frost across the grass, dissolving into sparkling dew as long slender sunbeams swept between the long bare blue shadows of lindens and sycamores. Sky an empty aching blue until late in the afternoon, each lone contrail a sharp silver blade drawn from horizon to horizon.
Mostly resting up again today but not with such a leaden feeling of necessity, just a slightly dreary overhanging general weariness, tiring out fast but more in the general way of winter. Another low key hangout with friends for new year’s eve, having a meal and taking turns distracting my girlfriend’s dog from the fireworks.
May we find ourselves refreshed and encouraged today!
