Goodnight friends! Just as bright, a little cooler and much more blustery. A half-melodic xylophone clacking from up in the treetops as neighbouring bare branches waved and clashed and strummed against each other. Dishevelled brown larches taking on new vivid coats of tufty green needles.

Pretty foggy and tired generally. A slow and easy and uneventful recovery day, a long lie in and not up to much at all until afternoon, when I took a short walk with my girlfriend and had a dinner date.

May we reawaken our senses to the delights of food, drink, play and rest today!

Image ID: Photo of slanting golden afternoon light from a clear blue sky falling on two bare, gnarled oak trees standing tall and apart in the midst of a murky grey-green holly grove, the one further away is a wide tangle of branches dyed copper and black by strong raking light, the nearer one truncated and dead, agate-like curving streaks of light and dark where layers of bark have been stripped away.
