Goodnight friends! A flitting unsettled sky, scattering and gathering. Bright patches and burly slate-grey masses with those telltale soft dissolving bases that, sure enough, brought a clattering static of rain through much of the late afternoon and early evening.
I passed my first judo belt grading today. It was gruelling, running through practical demonstrations of more-or-less the whole syllabus we’ve learned twice over without time for a break. I ended trembling, unable to complete the last techniques or even stand up for a while. But I graded successfully. I feel shattered, confused, a little elated, I feel like I didn’t do well enough to earn it.
May we find moments of peace and contentment in our lives today!
