Good afternoon friends! Skies a low-hanging sheet of silent satiny grey all day, a long tapestry of dusk left over forgotten and still from yesterday. Leaves composting into a richly foetid brown mash, trodden deep into trackways churned to sucking, glistening mire. Harsh shrieks of jays and irridescent cobalt flashes as they stoop between the trees, as weightless as I am heavy.
Weary and slow, finding it a little hard to relax muscles tensed against bone-deep aches. Resting myself as thoroughly as I can.
May we treat ourselves and each other with thoughtful compassion today!
