Goodnight friends! Still feeling very run down for most of the day, and just about as sniffly as yesterday – though perhaps my throat is a little less sore, it’s hard to tell. gingerly managed a short walk to get a little sun and stop myself seizing up, and at least I don’t seem to feel worse for it.
Stuffy and warm today, around 20°c and often shiftingly overcast with passing speckles of light rain. While I’ve been gone kerb edges have grown sweet with ragged, tropical pineapple weed. Ruby red threads of sorrel flowers and heavy pink-tinged wild grass seedheads have swelled in the meadows, braided into shaggy mats by burgeoning runners of meadow peas and vetch.
May we hold our current circumstances lightly today and allow growth for ourselves and each other, recognising change is not just always possible but often inevitable!
