Goodnight friends! Home again, quiet and comfortable, relieved. Rather drowsy for much of the day after taking a tablet to soften the edges of travel nausea, took a rare afternoon nap. In between unpacking and taking case of some light household tasks. Felt very decadent waking up in the sun-dappled green glow of late afternoon.

No grey start or hint of gloom, just blue from dawn til dusk with ghostly streaks and veils of cloud not doing much to dampen the heat and blaze. Tufts of willow fluff and stray hawthorn petals lazily tumble on brief breaths of air, getting snagged on white cow-parsley parasols or the swelling hairy stems of giant hogweed. The goslings have shot up in the week since I saw them last, now bold and long necked, gawky in their strutting, faltering confidence.

May we find love, forgiveness and acceptance today!
