Goodnight friends! Clouds came storming back in overnight, rumpled layers of gloomy grey and wind spattering light drizzle against windows with a pebbly clatter.

Woke up in a lot of pain that ebbed and crested through the day, jagged electric shakes whipping through my limbs and forcing whining grunts from my lungs. A faintly feverish feeling hovering me all day. When I touched the lymph nodes under my jaw they felt hard and hot, probably a minor relapse reaction. Over to my girlfriend’s place for dinner and to very quietly ring in the new year, as well as fuss her dog to distract her from the fireworks.

May we find renewed ambition and drive to shape the lives we want for ourselves and our communities today!
