Goodnight friends! A pale wet dreariness, lank, rain-beaded grass and the few most stubborn green alkanet leaves, thin boiling diagonal hiss of chill rain. Around 10°c but feeling colder with the damp wind bluster.
I feel like I might be seeing some concrete, long-term gains in pacing, stamina and recovery from a year plus of doing weekly sport. I went from a party on Saturday night and Sunday morning, rested most of the rest of Sunday, then kept strictly still on Monday and most of today – and in the evening I felt able to go to judo. Granted it was the last session of the year and a light one, but especially considering it’s winter this seems like a noticable gain in my ability to conserve and replenish energy. I will be lying flat for a lot of tomorrow and likely Thursday, of course, but that’s pretty normal.
May we find a sense of safety, continuity and progess in our lives today!
