Goodnight friends! Sky like wet ash, flat and hourless grey until heavy evening brought on a dour bluish hue. Several long pummeling spates of heavy rain, and light so dim the orange lampposts were lit by 3pm. In between, black zigzag branches of hawthorn, mostly bare except for a few lingering crimson berries, glittered amber with droplets gathered thickly along their angular joints refracting the light.
A little easier going for me despite the rain, maybe thanks to building up some reserves of stamina by going pretty slow the last few days. Keeping things very slow and steady still, a half-forced half-mindful gentle pace, thinking of lasting happily through the winter.
May we work to practise mutual respect, thoughtfulness and care today!
