Goodnight friends! Birdsong hushed, swirling inky grey skies, telltale cold electric prickle of gathering rain on my skin. Burgeoning foliage and newly flowering lilacs take on flattened tapestry forms in the pale even light filtering through the clouds.
Not sure if it was this starting to hit me yesterday, but today the full weight of familiar wet weather bone-deep hot-and-cold aches set in. I was tempted to hang out in bed, but got the feeling it would be too hard to get up again. Felt rather hollowed out and useless but went through as much of my daily routine as I could – in gentler and reduced form – aiming to feel as alive and present as possible.
May we feel seen and respected today, and extend that dignity and kindess to each other!
