Goodnight friends! A few patches of early brightness but a hissing wind gathered up and smoothed out the clouds Overall very dim, diffuse light from a thickly clouded sky as if I needed to rub sleep from my eyes. Around 16°c but the wind and the suffusing clamminess made it feel much harsher. Mushrooms everywhere in all stages of growth and grungy liquescence and leathery dry decay, boletes and conecaps and puffballs. Excited to have my first slime mould slighting for a long while, too. Tiny thyme-leaved speedwells still among the mossy grass.

Starting to feel more confidently and reliably mobile, heavily fatigued after a short walk but not feeling the malaise bleed through into my brain and motor functions quite as much as the past few days. A few basic stretches as well, trying to keep things from seizing up too much. Concentration very shallow and fleeting still, sleep seeming to be on a gradual track to improvement.

May we find a sense of discovery and wonder in our lives today!
