Goodnight friends! A bit more fluctuation, as warm as 3°c occasionally, but largely closer to °-1°c. Feathery ragged ribbons and smooth-crowned sweeps of thin white cloud, gradually gathering. Remaining mottled patches of thin snow, bristly grasses poking through, and paler silver in the shadows between where frost blooms.
Half-delayed rush of fatigue bearing down heavily, especially in the evening as I seem to feel the atmosphere growing heavier again, a defensive nervy clench surging over me whenever I try to sit still. I won’t be surprised if there’s rain or sleet coming down tomorrow. Muscle pangs slowly easing, aiming to stay within my energy means but not stay quite as still as I might want to.
May we find moments of splendor and delight we can feel grateful for in the world around us today!
Image ID: Photo of a church rooftop of grey stone and slate tile against a very pale blue sky, sloping roof lit by low amber sunlight while the gable walls with their arched windows are in deep blueish shadow. The drooping twigs of a birch tree fall in front of the dark wall, light catching the sparse remaining leaves like embers from a fire.
Photo of grass, florets of moss and chickweed leaves, all diademed and trimmed by angular splashes of white frost crystals.
