Goodnight friends! Relieved to get some sun again, and even fleetingly that feeling of suffusing, resonating warmth that only sunlight gives. Icy blusters bore vast blue-black obelisks of rainclouds sweeping by, along with twisting, tendrily white peaks. Early catkins already starting to fall, wriggling caterpillar drifts of them gathered up on the reservoir by the wind. A strange deathliness along with the vivacity of spring this year – a dead goose on the water today, neck laid horribly flat back along its body, and a few days ago a badger nearly the size of a small dog, silvery and thickset, seemingly unmarked with its small lifeless eyes set invisibly in thick black stripes.
Enlivened by the flickers of brightness I felt decently effective today – not much to spare for creativity but set the rubbish out, exercised, took a longish walk to drink in every available moment of light.
May we build towards grace and forgiveness for ourselves and each other today!
