Goodnight friends! Clouds thickening and darkening a little today, still a shifting, gloomily nacreous sky scraped smooth and moulded by cool breezes. White deadnettle and glossy, menacing arum leaves bursting up into thick verdant mounts, tight-packed fairy bonnets of squill. Air full of brassy, strident goose calls, drowning out the popcorn rattle of coots and thinner, more melodic cries in the trees, late arrivals and wooing and claims to status.
A little exercise, a little househunting – each on the’r own swallows an unkindly large portion of the day, so together they left me spun around and dazed in mid-afternoon, unable to quite pin down what had been going on. Efforts for the future in their own ways, both shaving away a little something from my somewhat thin portion of present.
May we find and build a sense of purpose and achievement in our lives today!
