Goodnight friends! Far brighter, a powdery rainwashed blue sky above swashing tides of breeze-whipped grasses. A skinny fox, tattered and brindled brown, cautiously gnawed at a discarded toy outside my window. Stiff cupped hydrangea petals turn from green to lilac and pink. Tiny peapods darken in grappling tangles of vetch. The metronome tick-tick-tick of grasshoppers counting out the summer grows louder.
More things to do, refinding the lost rhythms and tasks of living alone, trying to increase livability and efficiency for the future without wearing myself too thin.
May we find joy and discovery in our everyday lives today!
