Good evening friends! Very cold clear morning, sky softly blue but the air silvered by a ghostly radiant mist. Fuzz of frost bright and thick, carefully inscribing the outline of each stem or leaf. Geese and ducks seeming a little confused, mostly confined to a few small areas of reservoir that weren’t sheeted over by broad swathes of dense ice that gave off tuneful whooping, humming reverberations whenever a branch fell.

Winter fatigue keeping me locked in a similar pattern, not much energy left after the first few hours of the day. Thanks to my slow training up though I’m generally able to do a few things I can look back on with interest or satisfaction in all the other, once much emptier, hours of the day.

May we work to gain greater understanding of, and perspective on, our lives today!
