Goodnight friends! Back to mostly flat, soupy grey skies, a slow sense of foreboding gloom and slowly building sludgy pressure that only really built to rain as the tired and muffled wisp of the sun began to sink. Fibrous serpentine roots stand out from the mud around tree boles as days of persistent drizzle have washed away the soil. Day by day the stout blueish spears of daffodil leaves creep up and up.
Lingering muscle aches and damp-stiffened joints compound on each other, lying down and trying to sleep, walking, sitting still all grind on my nerves. My thoughts are spongy and incoherent. Fortunately I’m fully off the medical trial, flushed of any lingering drugs and okay to take ibuprofen again, which I find more effective than paracetamol for taking the edge off daily aches and pains.
May we find peace and patience in our lives today!
