Goodnight friends! Sky a thick, opaque oily off-white with vague streaks of grey, but seemed drained after heavy overnight rain. A steady, less blustery 4°c, all the grass pearled with orderly lines of droplets. Crocuses shut up tight, some seeming pummeled and deflated by the sheer amount of water drumming against their buds. Low lying creamy yellow wild primroses seem to be able to weather the damp, and most daffodils are still waiting, extruded onion-shaped pinnacles protected by a filmy spathe.
A bit dazed and apathetic, a general run-down feeling. A few lingering muscle pangs and disturbed, aching sleep, and on top of that a slight stiff, swollen feeling around the back of my nose…. Hard to tell if its just a side effect of fatigue and immune stress, as tenderness or pain in my throat can sometimes be, or if I’ve managed to catch another flavour of seasonal cold. Meandered along, did some tiny bits of writing and editing, but getting dressed, taking a walk and eating absorbed most of my energy budget.
May we find our passions and inspiration refreshed today!
