Goodnight friends! A far fairer and clearer day, a brisk breeze hissing in the trees, sweeping the sky clear to a pale, pearlescent blue with slender lavender cigarillo clouds just above the horizon. No wind now seems to be free of a dizzying hint of change, rich smells of earth and mouldering damp. Tufted vetch has fully collapsed into frothy green mats now that the thistles whose height their tendrils highjacked have given up their explosions of cottony down and withered. Apples thick and glossy on the branches – a few already shrunken and brown and blotched, neatly perforated by wasps.

Another day were I can’t seem to muster my former motivation or stamina for exercise, going through one full round before losing determination. Probably at least some of this is knowing still that I’d far prefer using any spare scrap of energy to draw, now I feel like I have an option.

May we find deeper, more compassionate insight into ourselves and the people around us today!
