Goodnight friends! Wind-whipped clouds scrawl and swirl and scrimshaw across a sky half bright blue, half muddled by foggy grey ramparts, taking the transitory writhing shapes of calligraphic dry-brush swoops and great fine-boned fish skeletons. Willow leaves shift in whispering silver waves and poplars bend their tall heads, sparkling. Waves of dull, sodden humidity and sun-warmed freshness alternated all through the day, unsettled and full of gleaming, passing ordinary splendour.
My first attempt to return to proper exercise since the vaccination. I’m still not back to my pre-relapse form, and the effort to get there seems both more daunting and less consuming now I’m rekindling a serious drawing habit, but my movement felt relatively free and the effort felt good.
May we feel at ease with our thoughts and feelings and at home in our bodies today!
