Goodnight friends! A bounty of leaves today – perhaps it’s the rain of recent days that’s brought them out so thickly flushed with life. Early spiralling runners and oval leaves of meadow peas, forked and pointed meadow buttercup, silver chevroned velvet-soft clover, sticky knee-high thickets of catchweed bedstraw, hawthorn foliage finally dusting the bare grey meadow treelines with green, thickly grooved starburts of wild plantain holding fast to bare muddy soil. A litany of names and imagined green futures. Sky a slowly swarming and fractured pale grey, mild and a little clammy.

Abbreviated some planned exercise, lingering, stabbing aches coursing up and down my limbs causing me to falter, not feeling stable or able to grip firmly. Didn’t sleep well either, slow-throbbing waves of dreamy exhaustion, a distraction at least so not entirely unpleasant, washing over me.

May we be safe and welcoming, able to open our hearts to each other today gently and calmly!
