Goodnight friends! Pearlescent, half-shining grey sky, high sun a muted smear. Damp and 18°c, feeling spring-like, the first time in quite a while warm enough to truly feel humid rather than just clammy. Even between light showers the air was prickly with impatient rain. Wild grasses in full swing, growing wild and thick and wavy wherever a mower can’t reach, twined through by the tentative grappling tendrils of vetch.
A bit of energy recovered, just not quite enough to fully counterbalance the continuing pattern of pain cresting high with overnight rain, and the general disruption it causes to my always-fragile sleep cycle. Waking up more disoriented and nauseous than usual, with legs that feel like they can’t quite bend right. Still, I got going and took an afternoo walk in the end, so I’ve just got to try to claw back extra half-hours of sleep where I can.
May we find a sense of acceptance and reconciliation with our former selves and our difficult decisions today!
