Goodnight friends! A settled, still dull greyness for most of the day, pressure slowly dropping towards a cool thin rain that couldn’t much break through the shadowy cave-like woodland canopy but did, for a little while at least, break the tension in the air. Saw a buzzard again swooping silently among the trees, again taking a long moment to register the flash of dun, blunt thick-shouldered head and grey brindling and realise that I wasn’t seeing an unusually large crow.
A sleepless night full of shifting aches and pains led to a drowsy, dozily blinking day where I couldn’t really do much of anything. I more or less drifted half-corporeal through the hours, barely feeling them settle on me. I feel sleepy enough still that I’m hoping I’ll have no choice but to crash straight down through soreness into some semblance of rest.
May we find hope and healing today!
