Good afternoon friends! Even warmer today, an early summer feeling invongruous with the crimson blackberry leaves. Sky wide and feather-striped, 22°c. Bronze-flecked hazel and scarred stalwart oak canopies glow among dark-capped groves of holly. Grey-brown crunchy husks of hazelnuts and green prickly mounds of fallen sweet chestnuts strewn across pathways.
Very fatigued after a morning walk in the park, sitting back in bed, half-dazed and slightly breathless, my girlfriend’s head resting on my shoulder as she plays a videogame.
