Goodnight friends! Cool but very bright, grass hanging heavy with sparkling strings of pearly droplets from overnight rain. Even at midday the sun is low and drowsy, blazing as it is, barely cresting shaggy cypress hedges and casting long tiger-stripes of shadow. Sharpness of the light catches not just the oranges and yellows of fallen leaves but the tiny sparks of pink from a few herb-robert flowers still hanging on.
Fatigue lessened, but sleep still fugitive and as fatigue mounts a mild flushed, feverish sensation hits me. Got a few bits of household work and admin done, a few desultory bits of drawing and chatting a bit with friends – otherwise mostly trying to coasting along and not push myself too hard.
May we practise recognising and clearly asserting our needs and boundaries today!

Photo of the long inky shadow of a tree spreading out across a graveyard lawn thickly strewn with fallen yellow leaves and aligned almost perfectly with the trunk of an oak tree reaching up into a bright blue cloud dappled sky, the tips of its crown leaves speckled gold.
