Goodnight friends! Patchy silvery-edged grey opening up into ragged blue scraps over the afternoon. Grass and drifted leaves slick and glittering and sticky from overnight drizzle, mushy trailing growths of fungus sagging and soggy. Squirrels looking plump, moving warily now they aren’t quite so nimble. A snap of harsher cold, down into the single digits, with forecast suggestions of snow.
Easing back into daily life, a lot of slow, tentative fussing around to re-fix and expand the rhythms of routines and household tasks while not wearing myself out. A relaxed hangout with a friend to eat a simple lunch and watch old movies helped ground me back into my home too.
May we communicate clearly, compassionately and with honesty today!
