Goodnight friends! A last half-day at the convention before our little troupe headed home in the evening. It took a little while to fully sink in just how much of my budget – financial and energetic – I had already gone through over the past few days. The wheelchair, and even moreso the group of supportive friends I had around me who were prepared to support me, really helped with many core symptoms, especially pain and physical exhaustion and experience so much more than I could have otherwise. So many of the difficulties I only confront in smaller ways day-to-day came to the fore, things like brain fog, disproportionate sensory sensitivities to brightness, noise, changes in temperature, all ramped up hugely, especially since I was active for longer periods on multiple consecutive days. The lowered physical toll makes me feel like I can see a hopeful pathway to recovery through a few days of quiet and rest, and masking throughout has me optimistic I hopefully haven’t brought any bugs home with me. Time will have to tell for both.

May we find tranquility and steady calm in our lives today!
