Goodnight friends! Gradually clearing from an overcast morning to an afternoon sky of crisp white iceberg clouds framing the ghost of a half moon in an azure sky, hard-edged sunbeams breaking through a little more hour by hour. Warmth still trickling away for now, around 13°c or so most of the day. Grass long enough that even once the upper stems are sun warmed the lower leaves lap coldly at my ankles. More glaring golden ox-eye pupils opening up, whitw umbrels of rowan blossom, crumpled orange Welsh poppies too, and the clumped pink beads of dock flowers.

Mostly I set today aside for recovering from our woodland outing – not talking, not moving much, everything dialed down to a level of effort that seems just about function. Definitely feels needed, not in the sense of teetering of the edge of relapse, more the kind of balance-keeping that avoids that situation. Boring myself a little, but far better than the alternative.

May we see and understand ourselves with greater clarity today!
