Goodnight friends! Gloomy, heavy skies with that thick soft summer gloom, the feeling like being pressed between layers of damp cotton. Temperamental spates of thin prickly rain, clots of stickily damp meadow grass and buttercups shorn and left to moulder by lawn services. Little deep purple jewels of selfheal and blue-rayed speedwell left below the reach of the blades. Along the bushes and hedgerows snails in striped and whorled earthenwear liveries glide across rain-beaded green canopyscapes.
Definitely more energy, despite a resurgence of pain from the wet weather. A little laundry, a longer walk – and granted, longish periods of dazed rest in between, but definitely approaching something like my average functionality again. Depending on tomorrow, it might be time already for a cautious return to exercise.
May we find moments of empty stillness and calm that allow our hearts and minds to open today!
