Goodnight friends! The swooning brightness of the early afternoon was bracketed by treacly, stuffy periods of clouded-over gloom and whispery, light but densely falling rain. Steams that were chortling over their pebbled beds yesterday ran swift and smooth. Spider guywires hung between sedges are strung with bedraggled garlands of willow fluff.
I wilted more than a little under the rain, but spent much of the day when I otherwise felt a little useless listening to an audiobook, which I was remarkably able to concentrate on for fairly long periods. Not really something I count as a milestone, but I’ve been struggling with absorbing information for a while, and engaging with long-form media is often a bit draining.
