Goodnight friends! A grey and surly morning begrudgingly giving way to a brief paradisical spell of afternoon sunlight, tremblingly caressing meadows jostling with life beneath a wreath of pink thistles. Little mottled fluttering afternoon moths, tattered brown butterflies, sleek silvery spiders basking like leopards on bramble leaves. Early cricket instars, comically stubby, preparing to spread a buzzing canopy of noise across the fields.
Much drier, but warmth still humid and a deep lingering ache left in my bones that kept my sleep turbulent. Going a little slow generally today, not really feeling thoughts or moments of the day stringing together to make sense – but felt reassured and stabilised by being able to reach out and talk to people.
May we find a sense of playful ease and joy in everyday moments today!
