Goodnight friends! Sky bright but not so clear, a vivid cloud-scaled blue with long dark streaks looming along the northern horizon. Hovering just above zero, a sear of pain on my fingertips and ears despite liquid sparkling dew on the grass and the edges of yew needles ablaze with emerald fire.
My uncharacteristic drowsiness, assisted by the sedative effect of an over the counter allergy pill, did manage to get me an early night, and I didn’t wake until fairly late morning, probably the longest I’ve slept in a few years. The cold and my general post-COVID lethargy made it mostly a slow pottering day, though my last symptoms feel most of the way gone now, fortunately.
May we find and treasure moments of unexpected delight today!
