Goodnight friends! A pale, gloomy start, but by early afternoon long sharp ultramarine tree trunk shadows undulated across lawns. The whole broad cloudy arc of the western sky was washed gold by the sun, a faint but tangible warmth on my brow. Overhead, although a speckling of rain fell, it was a clean empty blue except for the swelling silver disc of the three quarter moon. More nodding golden daffodil trumpets, and all the tiny tenacious foliage shovelling up through dead leaves, scalloped sow thistles and forked common soliva.

Dragging myself around a bit today, lethargic and painful still despite the clearer weather and my head foggy and muddled too. Again, a little household progress but hard to grant myself much recognition, insidious feeling of needing to ‘justify’ feeling more unwell.

May we grant ourselves, and each other, grace and patience today!
