Good afternoon friends! Chill gusty wind and heavy rain stir the reservoir into seething chaos, ripples and motes of bubbling foam. Water and sky both a thick silty grey-brown – only dark treelines prevent them from merging into one dull unified mass, where I’d be adrift in the little black coracle of my winter coat. Alone except for herons on the footpaths I pause respectfully for them to cross.
Drained by the thick damp air insinuating cold into my joints, heavy and listless after the effort of pushing myself out into the rain for a walk.
May we be gentle and generous with ourselves and each other today!
