Goodnight friends! Heavier clouds but all swiss-cheese holed and gilt-edged, full of light still, and a swirling open coolness stirring the down of yellowing plants. Haws red and shining as blood, blackberries glitter like faceted chips of night sky trapped among prickly tendrils. Bees busy still around fallen mats of vetch and pink lampshade snowberries, mutterings of latecoming grasshoppers. Pigeon wings whoop as they burst effortfully from the dusty green shadows of the oaks.
Starting to fully sink in that I have to take some more time to adjust, mentally and emotionally ad well as physically, to the funny little shifts in pain and energy Autumn will bring. I think there’s some things like this it’s okay or even better to forget, the more I dread winters the less fun my summers are.
May we find peace, acceptance and love within ourselves and around us today!
