Goodnight friends! Significantly hotter, swelling to 26°c and hovering there until the sluggish coppery sunset hours, still but not feeling too humid. Gradual tendrils of the sleepy scent of sun-fragrant buddleja crept in through windows and trailed through the churchyard. Warm enough for the yellow meadow ants to rise again, a hallucinatory swirl of rising smoke over the grass and prismatic sparkle of sunlight on new wings.

Slept poorly, my delayed-phase sleep brain rattling around between my wonky schedule and my girlfriend’s much more respectable circadian rhythm. A long slow process of pulling myself together, but the day ended up feeling fairly purposeful. I drew for a good while in the afternoon, took a walk and stretched outside on the grass.

May we direct our passions towards our long term goals with thoughtfulness and purpose today!
