Goodnight friends! Heavy speckling of gauzy white clouds, never quite managing to clump together. House sparrows dart between the highest reaches of bramble thickets, handsomely white throated and black browed, brown backs ruddy in the sunlight. Robust, shiny black beetles swarm with furious speed through the grass, vanishing like memories of shadows glimpsed from the corner of your eye. Pink and blue proliferate underfoot, blue alkanet, forget-me-not, bird’s-eye speedwell, the first sugary pink herb-Robert flowers, one of my favourites.Temperature claims to be around 14°c but it feels sharper than that, not sure how much of that might be down to wind and how much to me still feeling a little worn down.

Everything continuing about the same for now, needing longer rests, more vertigo, but no particular looming menace of collapse. Even a slight itch of impatience for a little more activity – which may be a positive sign, or just foolhardiness or habit. Tomorrow’s sensations depending some light exercise to gently ask my body some questions might be on my agenda.

May we find a sense of security, stability and safety in our lives today!
