Goodnight friends! More and longer periods of flitting sunlight today, slow caressing spotlights sliding beneath the trees and temperatures bumping up against 20°c around midday, a timid pressure of warmth on my back. Warmth can’t quite feel the same though with the faint mouldering tartness in the air and the slow-kindling colours in the trees. Little egrets on the wing over the reservoir, the strange antediluvian geometries of folded and refolded necks elided by sheer bright whiteness into a single flat radiant form.
A few periods of weary hour-marking today, my body feels leaden. Even my enthusiasm for drawing is bearing me up a little less as days go by and I need to spent beached unthinking moments from time to time to gather myself up, memory and plans unspooling without warning and having to be haphazardly drawn up.
May we open our hearts today, ready and unafraid to experience fully the joy and awe the world has to offer!
