Goodnight friends! Another outing today, snatched in the sliver of itchy, uncertain nervous euphoria from having sent off the flat sale documents. This time to the botanical gardens. In a way it feels like I’m finally putting years of physical preparation to the test – from walking the same familiar circuits day on day, building up stamina, to venturing into the unknown. And on a good, fine warm day, like today and at Winterbourne, it seems to work.
Changeable drifting skies again, but the day seemed far hotter at its brightest, heat piling heavy on my shoulders, rolling thick and treacley down my back. Chemical flames of exotic flowers, dinnerplate-broad hothouse butterflies, cobalt peacocks, towering writhing leaves, all united under a hallucinatory glow of momentary summer.
May we find gentle, listening patience with each other and ourselves today!
