Goodnight friends! A flat and very pale grey sky, like the grey of old ice, trees sizzling in a damp breeze that didn’t seem to touch the sky. The kind of weather that brings a shiver even when it isn’t cold yet, with bees and hoverflies still ministering to ragwort and the last purple clovers.

A feeling of sluggishness and stasis, moving and thinking very slowly, needing long empty breaks to breathe and recharge and negotiate with swells of pain. An unpleasant low level cycle of poor sleep and bodily aches feeding into foggier days where the buildup of inexpressible nervous energy leads into more poor sleep. Nothing too serious, just a mild debilitating weight on top of everything else.

May we find a wider perspective, and gratitude for how much we’ve been able to overcome today!
