Goodnight friends! Rain came on harder and louder today, in short dramatic hammering spates between long stretches of polished azure sky marked by fine, tapering ghostly ribbons of cloud. Trees glitter and shake with gold-flecked tidal sighs. Harsh, atonal shrieks of a eurasian jay in the treetops, haranguing pigeons and squirrels and quarreling mightily with the local magpies, smoky pink flanks and black-barred electric blue epaulettes visible through canopies starting to seem slightly patchy in places.

A bit drier over night and my girlfriend stayed over, so a relaxing, peaceful night and morning. Some bits of drawing and creative as well as household admin, though the unpredictable rain sapped quite a lot of my energy again. The general seasonal feeling of cold starting to seep into me, an extra tuning fork thrum of omnipresent ache.

May we renew and deepen bonds of community and fellowship today!
