Goodnight friends! Another dramatically changeable day, drizzle becoming a brief downpour, then clouds breaking apart and within an hour being replaced almost spotless blue skies, that then gradually begin to be smothered in turn by a new band of wind-driven clouds. The pattern repeated with a few variations several times, a cutting blustery breeze and a temperatures under 10°c the main constants. Bristly carpets of sweet chestnut husks, dozens on dozens of glossy violet-black crows fluffed out against the wind.

A small outing to the park with my girlfriend and younger brother and sister, luckily catching one of the pockets of sunlight, then most of the day being still and carefully recovering – especially important because I have some level of activity every day for the next few.

May we find patience and calm in our lives today!

Photo of a beam of sunlight on a fallen log, with short, blunt tendrils of bright yellow fungus, possibly club-like tuning fork, pushing their way from between the grain of the grey wood as if spilling from split seams.
