Goodnight friends! A similar experience today as yesterday – an energetic and optimistic start, able to be productive and functional through afternoon but flagged significantly and felt a deep squeeze of dizzying pain as early evening drew in and the temperature dropped. My younger sister visited for an hour or so in the morning on her way to London. Difficult to express the diffuse joy of being able to take a walk with a sibling who could barely remember me standing upright when she left home.
A sky carp-scaled with pale interlocking clouds softening the distant, cool hard light of the sun. More splashes of orange and blotchy signs of galls or mildew in the tired branches of the woods, caramel-coloured mushrooms springing up amid leaf litter or in hollows.
