Goodnight friends! A mini trip out with friends today to the wye valley and the forest of dean. Fortunately very low key, so I didn’t need to worry about cancelling in the wake of the exhausting judo grading. I came with my girlfriend’s support and care, wandered slowly about in the beautiful woodland for about 15 minutes, and spent the rest of the day looking out at the trees, lounging about in the warm with the flickering cherry light of a logburner.
The seasons are a little slower here in the shelter of the valley, the columnular beeches green and austere, occasional yellow roadside flashes of ragwort still in flower.
May we find warmth, kindness and community in our lives today!
