Goodnight friends! Much cooler, around 12°c, but not feeling too much of a bite. After a heavy, overcast morning with a few scattered needle-pricks of drizzle, the brief hours of afternoon cleared up and dripped with slow honeyed light, glazing dark wiry treetops dappled with fire and gold.
Slept far better than in recent memory. I think taking several rounds of painkillers – which I try not to make a habit of, to avoid too many stomach troubles – really helped. Sometimes discomfort become such a baseline that its hard to recognise its effect day-to-day. Hopefully it helps me change my rhythm a little too. Feeling fairly energetic comparitively, and went for a mini outing to the botanic gardens with my girlfriend, taking the wheelchair to keep things sustainable.
May we find space and time to listen to our bodies and accept our needs today!
