Goodnight friends! A far brighter and dryer day, sky pale and shifting, riven by patches of fugitive blue and bright scrawling rents in the clouds. Leaf piles beginning to get that later autumnal sharp, shattering crunchiness. Even a few faint caresses of warmth from sunlight glancing off the water. Saw a buff-bellied and bandit masked nuthatch prising and rattling at tree bark, methodically moving head first down the trunk.
Definitely felt a bit more able and active – a little drawing and editing that felt clear and purposeful, a little simple cooking. The active hours slip away very quickly, but it was a real relief to be able to do something with them.
May we find a sense of pride and compassionate forgiveness for all the flawed people we’ve been, selves who helped us grow into who we are today, and will be!
