Goodnight friends! A cooler and more overcast but still pleasant and dry day, around 14°c, feeling cooler under the trees but warmer the moment the clouds parted. Hawthorns so thickly laden with blossom they almost looked snow-covered, and in the woods broad swards of icy white wild garlic flowers added to the illusion. Their sharp, pungent allium scent permeated the whoel forest.
Another small bluebell-hunting daytrip to the woods with my girlfriend for our anniversary. This time our timing was pretty good, a pale lilac mist spreading in all directions beneath the trees, always dissolving into dainty individual flowers when we came close.
May we find wonder and delight in the world around us today!

Photo of yellow archangel in bloom, in form somewhat similar to a deadnettle, but larger. Bright yellow flowers arranged in rings around the stem, one petal forming a long cowl above and another a tongue below barred and rayed with orange.
