Goodnight friends! Finally some very welcome glimpses of blue and a few hours without rain. Dewdrops shining in long neat rows like silver stitching on blades of grass, the air still thick and prickly with damp. Humped patches of clover and St John’s-wort past knee high, bugleweed in ragged-edged profusion beside gurgling, fast rushing streams. Plush bumblebees struggling against the chilly breeze to make the best they can of the sunlight.
A little more energy today to begin with, but a cycle of clouds rolling back over, brief spates of rain, being being blown apart again, &c, quickly bled off a lot of my stamina, and I was left beached and gasping by early afternoon after a hopeful start.
May we find and share companionship and compassion today!
