Goodnight friends! Swarming clouds regrouped after yesterday’s huge empty blue sky, and brought cooler temperatures back with them too. There was even a while when the thickening muddle of grey cumulus looked set for rain, but the afternoon began to clear by slow degrees and around 5pm things were warm and bright again for a while into the long slow evening. Bryony coming into bloom, thin petals pinstriped with green among coiling telephone-wire tendrils, and wild grass seedheads swelling and purpling towards full ripeness.

Meandering and not super focussed for parts of the day, but able to draw for decent stretches too, almost inadvertently striking a decent balance of activities and rest. Joints hurting more than usual for the summer, maybe just a matter of humidity.

May we rediscover the joy and passion of play and invention today!
