Goodnight friends! Pale, spare blue sky, empty except for the long thin comet streaks of contrails, slowly scattered into downy feathers on the wind. Sweetness on a warm breeze. Ants scurry purposefully and tiny zebra spiders move in little clockwork jerks and leaps on rough stone walls, every grain with its own minute sharp shadow under bright sunlight. Bare gold-dust anthers of collapsing crocuses glow like bare filaments.
Woke with a slight headache and a scratchy feeling in the back of my throat – seems like I’ve been unlucky and had a cold passed on, likely last time I had a visit from family. Will just have to isolate and cancel hoped-for plans, stock up on supplies and see how long it takes to ride it out. Hopefully will feel a little less miserable in the warmer weather. For today at least I did my stretches outside on fresh soft grass, cool in the slowly arcing shade of leafless linden trees.
May we find serenity and patience today!
